OUR STORY

My name is Cynthia Okpala, and I am the founder, and head designer here at Tailored By Cee. I was born and raised in Nigeria, and later moved to Canada at sixteen to further my education. Growing up in a country like Nigerian where tailored garments are very common, was where my love, and admiration for fashion originated.

Years after studying International relations and development studies at the University of Windsor, I was not satisfied because I knew I wanted go after what I have long admired, so I decided to get into the fashion design program at St. Clair College. This is were I acquired, and advanced my skills in pattern drafting, garment construction, fabric science, product development, etc. My advice to aspiring designers is to never limit yourself, also be proud of your designs because they are a reflection and representation of you.
